Eric Colville

Eric Colville is a guitarist and singer-songwriter living in Gloucester, MA, on Boston's North Shore.  Influenced by folk/rock of the '60s, and often with a stylistic nod to '90s alt rock, his songs are nevertheless eclectic in style. Colville writes of life, love and heartbreak, with lyrics at times defiant, at times introspective, and often whimsical.  Colville will give you a glimpse of his childhood in the tender John Hiatt style ballad, Philadelphia, and gets your fists pumping with his rock anthem, Picture Us Together.  The barnstorming 12-Step Program is wry and raucous breakup song, while Five Days Over is a country swinger, paying homage to The Byrds.  Whatever mood he is in, Eric Colville takes you on an adventure through the stories of his life.

Over 15 years after the release of his 2001 debut, Afraid To Dance, and the 2004 follow-up,  X-Ray Glasses.  Colville released a new full-length album entitled "Philadelphia," which also features his son Julian on piano and backing vocals. Colville has received numerous awards throughout his career including first place awards in the Great American Song Contest as well as the USA Songwriting Contest. He was a finalist invited to perform at the Kerrville Folk Festival in Kerrville Texas and at the 30A Music Festival in Santa Rosa, Florida where he performed alongside artists such as Shawn Mullins, The Indigo Girls, Jeffrey Steele, Loudon Wainwright III and John Oates (Hall & Oates). His songs have also been placed in television shows that include All My Children and Roadtrip Nation.
