Eric Colville is a guitarist and singer-songwriter living in Gloucester, MA, on Boston's North Shore. Colville has received numerous awards throughout his career including first place awards in the Great American Song Contest as well as the USA Songwriting Contest. He was a finalist invited to perform at the Kerrville Folk Festival in Kerrville Texas and at the 30A Music Festival in Santa Rosa, Florida where he performed alongside artists such as Shawn Mullins, The Indigo Girls, Jeffrey Steele, Loudon Wainwright III and John Oates (Hall & Oates). His songs have also been placed in television shows that include All My Children and Roadtrip Nation.
Influenced by folk/rock of the '60s, and often with a stylistic nod to '90s alt rock, his songs are nevertheless eclectic in style. Colville offers songs both beautiful and painful that offer the no-frills directness of questions one might ask themselves at a vulnerable moment. His songs run the gamut between tender John Hiatt type ballads, to country swingers and rock anthems.
